FT PRESCHOOL TEACHERS/1 COMBINED AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

2 PT or 1 FT MORNING AND AFTERNOON PRESCHOOL TEACHER(S) DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

TEACHER ASSISTANTS

and SCHOOL-AGE SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHER

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree, with preschool and/or elementary teaching certificates required for lead teachers (those working toward degrees or have AAs will be considered).

Assistant teachers, CDA or AA minimum preferred w/ experience, but not required

Two years minimum experience working directly with young children preferred

Highly motivated, very creative and innovative, organized, and very patient

A positive attitude

A person of integrity, high morals, and values

Effective time manager

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Person in good health; non-smokers only apply please

Responsibilities:

Be trained in or familiar with Project Construct curriculum

Assistant Director:  Assist in the management, supervision, and ongoing training of Academy staff

Teaching and administration of the Academy educational programs (some lifting may be required)

Health, cleaning, and feeding duties as assigned

Other responsibilities as assigned

(ages Infant through 2 years of age)

Requirements:

An early childhood/preschool teaching certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is preferred, CDA, AA, however, not required for an assistant teaching position.  

In-depth understanding of instructional methods and techniques for young children

Experience working directly with young children preferred

A person who initiates tasks without having to be asked or assigned to do them

ASSISTANT

TRANSPORTATION DRIVER (along with position of cook preferred)

Requirements:

To be able multi-task and organize the work environment.

To be able to work independently and efficiently.

Have a working knowledge of balanced nutrition and can prepare a variety of home-cooked meals. 

Have a safe driving record and appropriate license to transfer children in a shuttle bus.

Experience working directly with young children preferred

Prepare meals and snacks that are balanced and healthy according to USDA standards

Prepare menus on the computer with the assistance of supervisory staff

Drive Academy van for field trips, school drop offs and pick ups, etc.

Assist teachers and assistants in the classrooms during breaks, etc.

Attend professional development programs as assigned by the Academy owner

General cleaning of the Academy building

Health, cleaning, and feeding duties as assigned

Does other responsibilities as assigned by the Academy owner or director
